The third in a series of four concerts, this one featuring internationally renowned organist James Lancelot.

All the events are open to the general public.

James Lancelot has held the post of Master of the Choristers and Cathedral Organist of Durham Cathedral since 1985. He started his musical career as a chorister of St Paul’s Cathedral, and was subsequently educated at Ardingly College and King’s College, Cambridge, where he was Organ Scholar. Prior to his move to Durham he spent ten years as Sub-Organist of Winchester Cathedral. James is much in demand as a recitalist in Britain and abroad. Recent years have seen visits to Holland, Belgium, Poland, Germany, Denmark, the USA, France, Russia, Norway and Sweden, as well as many British venues.

West Hoathly Parish Walk

Everyone welcome. Leaders choose their own route - stout shoes or boots are essential and a walking stick may be useful. Dogs are welcome but must be kept under control at all times.

Walks are held on the last Sunday of every month.

Children are welcome, but the event is not suitable for the very young.

Should the event be sold out we will start up a waiting list in case there are any cancellations.

The band will start at 8pm so please arrive from 7:30pm.

A light meal will be provided (jacket potato and various fillings).

Please bring your own drink for the evening.

The last in a series of four concerts, this one featuring the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.

All the events are open to the general public.

NYJO is well-known throughout the world as a glittering show-case for the country’s best young musicians. During the orchestra’s long history since 1965, most of the rising generation of jazz musicians have passed through its ranks, often becoming established jazz stars whilst still playing with NYJO.

It is recognised as a world-class jazz orchestra and regularly tops the bill at festivals.
